WHY WE LOVE IT:
Some candles are cozy because they’re sweet or smoky. Siblings Scent No. 04 is cozy in a cleaner, more elevated way—like stepping outside for a deep breath of cold air, then coming back into a warm, beautiful room.
I poured it into a candle vessel I already love (the refill concept is the whole reason I’m into Siblings), lit it in the late afternoon, and it instantly made my space feel clearer and calmer—like I opened all the windows, even though I didn’t.
If you love the fragrance and quality of Diptyque, this is the perfect brand for you -- they have the same quality, and fragrance load. But the fact this is made of 100% coconut and soy wax and in the USA, just makes this so much better.
The fragrance: spa-fresh on top, evergreen in the middle, softly mossy at the base
Scent No. 04 is one of those fragrances that evolves as it burns—which is what makes it feel more like fine fragrance than a basic “pine candle.”
Top notes: Eucalyptus, Grapefruit Zest
This is the first impression: crisp eucalyptus with a bright pop of grapefruit zest. It’s energizing and clean—very spa-coded—like that first inhale when you walk into a steam room. The grapefruit keeps it sparkling and modern, not medicinal.
Heart notes: Balsam Fir, Pine
As it settles, the scent turns into a true forest moment. The balsam fir and pine are fresh and green, but not overly sharp or “holiday.” It smells like evergreen branches and clean air—more outdoorsy than seasonal.
Base notes: Wild Berries, Aldehydic Florals, Oakmoss

How it works (it’s easier than it sounds)
I expected this to feel like a craft project. It doesn’t. It’s basically a two-step pour.

Melt the wax
You can do this two ways:
- Microwave method: melt the wax in the microwave (in a microwave-safe container)
- Boil-in-water method: place the bag in hot water in a pot until the wax melts
- Prep your vessel + pour
- Place the wooden wick into your candle vessel of choice first
- Once the wax is fully melted, pour it into the vessel
- Let it set, then light it—and you’ve got your favorite candle back, in your favorite jar
The best part is the repeatability. When you finish the candle, you don’t have to start over with a new container—you just refill and keep going.
